August at Iasis & The Center: Faith, Family, Fun and Community

August is back-to-school season, but it is also a great time to reconnect as a community. Iasis Christian Center and The Center are inviting families, neighbors, students and educators to join us for three August events designed to bring people together through fellowship, faith, prayer and fun.

National Night Out: Meet Us in the Lot

Tuesday, August 11 | 7:00–8:30 PM
Iasis Christian Center | 1914 E. 11th St., Wichita

We're taking Bible discussion outside for National Night Out! Join us in the parking lot for an Ice Cream Social and Bible Discussion as we get to know our neighbors and strengthen community connections.

Iasis will provide the ice cream, and we invite you to come ready for good conversation, fellowship and a relaxed evening with people from throughout the neighborhood. Bring your family, invite a neighbor and meet us in the lot.

Free and open to the community.

Back-to-School Prayer Service

Before students head into classrooms and educators begin another year of teaching and serving, we want to cover our schools in prayer.

Students, teachers, administrators, school staff, parents, grandparents and families are invited to this special Back-to-School Prayer Service. Together, we will pray for peace, protection, wisdom, favor and a successful school year.

Whether your child is beginning kindergarten, heading off to college or somewhere in between, bring them and let's start this school year surrounded by faith, encouragement and community support.

Back-to-School Skate

Friday, August 28 | 6:00–8:00 PM
The Center | 1914 E. 11th St., Wichita
$5 per child

We're closing out August by letting the kids lace up and roll!

The Back-to-School Skate is a fun, affordable evening where young people can enjoy music, skating, friends and a safe place to celebrate the beginning of the school year.

The $5 admission includes skate rental and one snack. Additional food, drinks and treats will be available for purchase from the concession stand.

Bring the kids, bring their friends and let them make some great back-to-school memories.

From ice cream and conversation, to covering our children in prayer, to skating and having fun, these events reflect what community should look like—people coming together, building relationships and creating spaces where families feel welcomed and supported.

There is something for everyone this August at Iasis Christian Center and The Center.
